What follows is my status that i wrote when "Ale keechan" from Kadal got released as a single.
"Ale keechan" is out today.. A perfect fisher folk song.. 100% differs widely from other maniratnam-rahman songs..
The lyrics have many different fishy and village terms. Madhan karky has succeeded in his debut attempt of folk song.
"vaale kattumaram konda le.. gundu meena alli vara konda le" , "unakaga valai onnu, valai onnu virichiruken.. .... vilakenna oothikitu mulichiruken..""en thoothukudye" are some of the gems..
Rahman's voice suited the feel at its best. His high pitch and low pitch gave a village feel. And the music makes you to feel as if you are in sea..
The main highlight of the song is its second stanza. The fast beats and extra folky lyrics will surely make you smile..
This song just triggered the expectation level from 100 to 1000.. #KADAL
